Last Date to Apply:

February 5, 2021

EDGE Chapters are local entities of the organization that function directly within their respective post-secondary institution. Through our chapters, we aim to understand the unique student needs at each Canadian college or university. Our primary function is to provide services and resources that improve the experiences of current or prospective students as they navigate post-secondary.

EDGE is seeking Directors for our chapters at the overhead level. By applying to this position, you will be considered for a role that is not specific to any post-secondary institution. Instead, you will oversee a specific region(s) and the operating chapters within that region, and work with the respective chapter co-chairs to ensure that they are fulfilling basic chapter activities. The secondary function of this role is to continue working towards expanding our chapter reach across your respective region, and consider other untapped regions in Canada.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Hold weekly meetings with fellow Directors to plan growth strategy
  • Maintain communication with institutional stakeholders (career services, student unions, etc.) to pitch a case for an EDGE chapter
  • Conduct biweekly meetings with corresponding co-chairs to provide general updates and ensure that student engagement targets are being met

  • Can commit at least 5-10 hours/week
  • Preference towards third year students enrolled in any undergraduate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prepare formal documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience managing a team is a bonus
